At the end of October we ran the Division 7 ET Finals, here in Vegas. I was dialed in during the time trials but it was random pairing for the run order. I know the old saying "you're racing yourself", just funny how the Vegas racers get paired up with the best of the West Coast racers. I got paired up, in the first round, with a fast "rice burner", I treed him and shut down on the top end for the win light. In the second round I had another fast jap bike, I cut a good tree and when I hit second gear the bike had a small "hickup" and that's all it took. He got me at the stripe by .0005 second! But the bright side was that Las Vegas won the team event!!
November 4th was the last race of the Division 7 Series of 2011. I was in 3rd place and could move up to 2nd. I qualified in the bottom half of the field with a .033 reaction time. I had the fastest bike in the first round. I cut a good light and beat him to the stripe for the win! That was at 10:30am. At 5:30pm we were finally called to the staging lanes for round two! The class before the bikes was Super Gas and one of the cars flipped over on the top end. They called the race for the day and said it would go back on on Monday morning, GREAT I just started a new job and after making a phone call found out I could not make the race. It was work or race, as much of a passion I have for racing, I need this job. So by the end of Monday I got bumped down to 4th place in the 2011 Division 7 motorcycle class. Really not bad at all since we were the only V-Twin that raced all season! I also finished 6th in the local series.
The Division 7 schedule is up but we are still waiting for the Las Vegas schedule to be posted. I will add the schedule as it becomes available.
Did some work over the winter on the bike, can't wait to see how it works out.
